Nissan Qazana Concept Car Review

The Nissan Qazana concept is officially a look at what the future of smallish five-seat crossovers could look like, but Nissan has already announced a baby Qashqai is scheduled for European markets and the Qazana is likely a thinly-veiled preview of the production car. Qazana is supposed to be a cross between a beach buggy and a four-wheel motorcycle and inspire fun behind the wheel.
Qazana will reinforce Nissan’s position as a pioneer of Crossovers, building on the success of Qashqai and the recently introduc.
The new model has been designed and developed in the UK and represents around £57m of investment. Its arrival takes the total investment by Nissan in the Sunderland plant to around £2.5b since 1984.
A number of exterior features are clearly too elaborate for the showroom version, but demonstrate an astonishing attention to detail. The beautifully-crafted wing mirrors allow air in through a forward-facing opening, before sending it around a series of fan-like blades and releasing it through a gap surrounding the glass – cleaning up the airflow and improves the aerodynamics. Similarly, the stunning 20-inch alloys, wrapped in bespoke Kuhmo tyres will have to be dropped to keep costs down. But on this money-no-object concept the outer edge of the rubber is angled to feed air more efficiently around the hubs.
